From classical to jazz, our instructors teach a variety of genres and styles. Regardless if you want to start on the piano or keyboard, students of all ages and levels of skill are welcome! Our team of experienced teachers will understand your interests and goals to give you the best learning experience.

At The Music Depot we teach a variety of piano styles from classical to popular music. Whether you want to learn Bach or Alicia Keys, we are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be. We’ll show you the fundamentals of sight reading, technique, and theory, but we will also incorporate your favorite songs into your lessons. You do not have to have a piano at home to take lessons. A simple full-size electronic keyboard will suffice.

  • When is a good time to start piano lessons?

    Since the piano is a fairly painless instrument to play - that is, you don't have to apply pressure on your fingertips to a string like you do on a guitar, bass, etc. - the piano can be a terrific and easy instrument for children to start learning on. 


    Children begin piano lessons as early as 5 and even 4 years of age. If you enroll here for lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences. At the first lesson your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.

  • Do I need a piano or keyboard?

    Either! A piano is big and heavy and if you don't have the space it's OK! We recommend getting an 88-key (full) keyboard if you don't have room or a piano, yet. 

  • Do you offer virtual lessons?

    Yes! We offer virtual and in studio lessons!

  • Do you offer performance recitals?

     Yes!  In addition to our performance programs, The Music Depot offers a fall and spring recital every year at popular local venues.
