Chorus *NEW *  Our chorus ensemble is a great chance to improve your vocal abilities in a social environment. If you love music and singing, then this is the program for you! And if you are a bit too nervous to sing on your own...then yes, this program is also for you. Members will focus on how to utilize their body and voice for proper, healthy technique. Develop your voice and ear for music by learning how to harmonize with others. No experience is necessary. Beginners to advanced are welcomed. Chorus ensemble will meet for 2 hours a week. The number of songs will be determined based on sign-ups. Our theme for this session will focus on Frank Sinatra songs, as well as, holiday songs. Our goal is to have our chorus ensemble represent The Music Depot at local community events in the area included Collegeville’s “Lighting of the Tree” event. JR. Drum Line   * NEW *   The Music Depot JR. Drum Line is a group designed for students ages 7 to 12 to begin exploring the world of Marching Percussion and Percussion in an ensemble setting. In this program, students will utilize and learn techniques for percussion instruments such as Snare Drums, Bass Drums, Toms and more. Students can expect to learn cadences, proper sticking and techniques, reading rhythmic notation and of course HAVING FUN! This program is also great for students looking to join or move up to our SR. Music Depot Drum Line. A performance in our Fall Showcase (Sunday, Nov. 24th) at The White Rabbit Theater at The Colonial Theater in Phoenixville is also included. Sign up today to join in on the fun! Through the direction of their coaches, students will learn and apply all the essential ingredients for being part of a successful band, including rehearsing proficiently with your bandmates and developing stage presence. Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to perform for a live audience at a showcase in June. This is a great opportunity to make musical friends, learn to collaborate, and take budding musical skills to the next level!     Bands are formed based on age, skill level, and instrumentation. Student may not miss more than 2 weeks of Saturday band practice. Families can choose a preferred 2-hour time slot from the options below. These time slots are not guaranteed but we will do our best to accommodate. Jazz Ensemble   In this 9-week program students will explore the complex language of jazz as well as take music theory and performance to the next level. Students will learn at least 2 traditional jazz standards, develop improvisational skills, and expand their proficiency for reading music. This program provides students with a great opportunity to make new friends, prepare for an audition, and further develop jazz music skills. Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to perform for a live audience at a showcase in June. These young musicians will learn how to read music, proper technique, and basic music theory. What an amazing way to get kids involved in something special and while simultaneously improving social skills! This is a great starting point for kids who want to get involved in our private lessons. Each student may participate in 2 group lesson sessions before moving to private lessons. Each class is 45 minutes long and is limited has a 2 student minimum and 6 student max class limit.     SATURDAYS    September 28th - November 23rd    9am - 9:45am

Then this is the program for you! In this program students can expect to learn proper techniques in both playing and marching, rudiments, cadences and theory. Students will have the opportunity to march Snare Drum, Tenors, Bass Drum and Cymbals. Appearances in parades and other local events can also be expected. This program is great for any students preparing to audition for or move up in their local middle school or high school drumline.   Experience level: Intermediate-Advanced    Drum Line students may not miss more than 1 Saturday practice! Expect to participate in Collegeville’s Halloween parade. More events to be announced.
