Tribute to the 80s

Date: JULY 14^th - 18^th

Description: Description: In this camp, students will learn songs by artists and bands from the 1980s.

The 1980s music scene was characterized by a wide range of styles including New Wave, Electronic Music, Hard Rock, Glam, and the emergence of MTV which had a massive influence with musical trends that appealed to the masses.  This camp will pay tribute to bands and artists that stood out in a decade filled with innovation across all music genres.  To supplement this musical experience kids will learn about the history and performance art unique to the 80s.  The week will culminate with a live performance on Friday at 2 pm.

Tribute to the 90s

Date: August 18^th - 22nd 

Time: 9 am - 3 pm

Level: Ideal for kids 7-16 years of age who have had previous instruction.

Description: In this camp, students will learn songs by artists and bands from the 1990s.

The 1990s produced some of the best rock bands of all time thanks to the emergence of grunge and alternative music which continue to inspire new generations of musicians. This camp will pay tribute to bands and artists like Nirvana, Weezer, Green Day, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots. To supplement this musical experience kids will learn about the history and performance art unique to the 90s. The week will culminate with a live performance on Friday at 2 pm.

SONGWRITING CAMP 

Date: JULY 28th - August 1st 

Time: 11 am - 2 pm

Level: Ideal for kids 9-16 years of age who have at least one year of experience with their instrument.

Cost: $350

Description: In this camp, students will learn how to compose a song. 

Whether you’re not sure where to begin when it comes to writing a song, or you want to take your songwriting skills to the next level, this camp has you covered! Students will learn about the three essential elements of songwriting: harmony, melody, and lyrics. In addition to studying a variety of songs, students will also engage in games and activities to get the creativity flowing. All students will have an opportunity to perform their song with a live performance on Friday at 2 pm. 

METAL CAMP

Date: JULY 21st - July 25th 

Time: 9 am - 3 pm

Level: Ideal for kids 7-16 years of age who have had previous instruction.

Description: In this camp, kids will learn METAL!!!!

All METAL all day! Come learn the tricks of the trade used by the pros that you need to go up to 11! Kids will learn the unique language of METAL by stage-diving into the rhythms and melodic characteristics that define this incredible genre. To supplement this musical experience kids will learn about the history and performance art unique to METAL. The week will culminate with a live METAL on Friday at 2 pm.

ICONS OF POP

Date: August 4^th - 8^th 

Time: 9 am - 3 pm

Level: Ideal for kids 7-16 years of age who have had previous instruction.

Cost: $640

Description: In this camp, students will learn songs by famous pop music icons.

Since the early days of Rock & Roll, pop icons were always at the forefront inspiring generations of fans.  From contemporary artists like Taylor Swift, P!Nk, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, and Justin Timberlake to the icons of the past like Aretha Franklin, Madonna, Prince, and Michael Jackson their iconic ballads and dance anthems made generations sing and dance.  This camp will pay tribute to these all-time iconic pop artists.  To supplement this musical experience kids will learn about the history and performance art unique to these all-time performers. The week will culminate with a live performance on Friday at 2 pm.

MODERN ROCK CAMP - A TRIBUTE to the 2000s & BEYOND

Date: August 11th-August 15th

Time: 9am - 3pm

Level:  Ideal for students 7-16 years of age who have had previous instruction.

Description:  In this camp, students will learn songs by artists and bands from the 2000s, 2010s, & 2020s.

The 21st century has seen an astounding resurgence in pop rock/punk, nu-metal, post-grunge, synth-pop, and indie rock. In addition, the most successful bands of decades past, such as Green Day, Blink-182, and Foo Fighters continued their success.  We will be putting it all together for this week of camp paying tribute to this century's finest. To supplement this musical experience kids will learn about the history and performance art unique to the 21st century.  The week will culminate with a live performance on Friday at 2 pm.
